Band State Competition Performance

The HS Concert Band will be performing at 5:00 on April 29th at Lakota East High School for State Competition. Please mark your calendars and we hope to see you there.

7th and 8th Grade MayFest

The 7th adn 8th grade bands will be combining forces during MayFest to perform Cajun Zydeco Crawdad Dance. In order to help in the learning of the piece, the students may click here to listen to a performance of the work.

5th & 6th Grade Star Wars

The 5th and 6th grade bands will be combining the “forces” ( SW reference) to perform a medley from Star Wars at their May 20th MayFest performance. The students may click here to hear a performance of the piece to assist them in learning the work.

February 4 MMS Concert

The MMS Bands will be presenting their first concert of the year on Thursday, February 4th at 7:00 in Medert Auditorium at Madeira High School.

Call Times
7th & 8th students: 6:00 (brief rehearsal at 6:00)
5th grade students: 6:30.
6th grade students: 6:45.

The 5th & 6th grade bands will begin at 7:00. This portion of the concert should be 45-50 minutes in length. While the 5th grade is performing, the 6th grade will be seated in the auditorium (in a group). The 5th grade will be seated in the auditorium while the 6th grade performs.

The 7th and 8th grade concert will begin shortly thereafter and should last a maximum of 45 minutes.

It is very important that all students take their instruments home from school and bring them to the concert. They are also responsible for taking them back to MMS. We will arrange for MMS to be open in the case that someone has forgotten an instrument.

The following dress code applies:

Girls: nice shoes (no athletic shoes, flip-flops or heels), appropriate length skirt or slacks and blouse.
Boys: nice shoes (no athletic shoes), dress pants, button-down solid color shirt.

School dress code applies for this event.
